These shoes are fun to wear! They are perfect for someone who wants the look of Japanese wooden shoes (called geta) but with the thong of the strap set in a more western-style. Being that I live in Florida, I wear these constantly and normally stretch of "kimono rule" of wearing tabi and zouri with every kimono besides the cotton ones most people are familiar with (called yukata). I am not above sometimes wearing geta with komon (that next bump up and the formality ladder) and some casual open weave kimono during the summer.
However, more often I wear these to work with jeans and a t-shirt. Mine are well-worn in! :) |
